Opportunity for USA startups to pitch visionary ideas related to global commerce to a vast network of business people. Participants in the challenge will respond to one or more questions that global businesses must address in today's digital age. Focus areas include: digital issuance, digital payments, and providing added value to Visa or Visa’s vast network of clients.

Three challenges will be issued and will focus on solving three distinct business problems. In the end, four finalists will be invited to pitch their solutions live in front of Visa leaders and clients at the finals event during the 2019 Visa Payments Forum on May 13th – 19th in Chicago, IL.

The winning submission for each of the three challenges comprising the Initiative will be awarded a $25,000 USD cash prize. One winner will be selected for each of the three Initiative briefs from the submissions and be given the opportunity to present their solution to a judging panel that may include executives from Visa and as well as other members of the payments and technology communities. The Overall Winner of the Initiative will be awarded an additional $25,000 USD, receive mentorship from Visa and, be invited to discuss a pilot program with Visa.

In addition to the selection of the Overall Winner, the Finals will include an Audience Choice Award, which will be decided upon by Visa employees and others who are watching the event in person and vote via an online voting management system. The winner of the Audience Choice Award (the “Audience Choice Winner”) will receive a $5,000 USD cash prize.

The Solution should be aligned to Visa’s brand positioning (“Wherever you want to be, Visa helps you get there”), solve business challenges, influence our product roadmaps, support our customers, and shape the culture of innovation, and directly solve for one of the following three challenges (the “Challenges”):
