Grants to Utah organizations for capacity-building efforts and programs that help refugees from specific countries integrate into the community. Funding is intended to assist refugee-led organizations in their attempt to support the transition of Afghan refugee community members. The program is limited to organizations currently providing immigration-related legal assistance.
The objective of this grant is to provide eligible populations with basic legal orientation on immigration statuses and immigration protections under the law and immigration-related legal assistance, including but not limited to, immigration education, adjustment of status, family reunification, navigating the asylum process including application, interview, interpretation, and transportation as needed.
